Scandit’s partner ecosystem is designed around the principle that we should put our customers’ needs and requirements at the forefront of our partner strategy.
Each quarter, we’ll be focusing a spotlight on one of our partners, letting them describe themselves and what they do.
This time, Mercaux shares how they are helping retailers to digitize physical stores and transform them into multi-purpose centers – and tell us why they are excited to partner with Scandit.
Could you describe your company in just a few sentences?
Mercaux: A single platform to digitize retail stores.
At Mercaux, we support retailers by digitizing the physical store with our built-for-purpose modular digital platform.
Our full suite of Connected Retail Solutions – operated by Sales Associates or self-served by customers – provide retailers with end-to-end path-to-purchase support. This includes:
- Assisted Selling
- Clienteling
- Mobile Payments
- Remote Selling
- Omnichannel Fulfilment
By bringing the benefits of digital in-store, we enable retailers to transition their stores from being simple sales channels into multi-purpose centers for marketing, customer acquisition, fulfilment, remote selling, and experiential retail.
What are your company’s core competencies?
To digitize stores, most vendors will focus on single extensions to amplify a retailer’s existing systems – such as their Point of Sale, Product Information Management, Order Management System or Customer Relationship Management.
Instead, at Mercaux, we digitize all aspects of a retailer’s business, and connect to all their core operating systems through a single platform that contains a full suite of Connected Retail solutions. These include:
- Assisted Selling and Omnichannel
- Mobile Payments
- Fulfilment
- Remote Selling via WhatsApp
- Appointment Booking
All our solutions are supported by full analytics and reporting capabilities via a HQ Portal.
As Mercaux’s Connected Retail Solutions integrate with a retailer’s existing tech stack and data formats (utilizing pre-built integrations and plug-ins), customers are able to go live in a matter of weeks.
Do you have a vertical/industry focus?
Yes, our primary focus is on retail and specifically in fashion & apparel, footwear, sportswear, jewellery, homeware & DIY and health & beauty.
Do you have a geographical focus?
Mercaux has a global customer base, operating across 32 different countries.
We recently announced our first client in Thailand, and are now looking forward to further activities in the APAC region.
And finally, why are you excited about working with Scandit?
Working with Scandit has brought to life an exciting range of in-store options for both customers and sales associates, including Scan & Search, Scan & Request, and Scan & Buy options across Mercaux’s full suite of Connected Retail Solutions.
One of the areas we’re most excited to be working with Scandit on is our Consumer QR Web App, giving customers the digital tools to self-serve across their entire path to purchase.
With our easy to launch App, customers can access their very own digital shopping assistant, scanning product barcodes to reveal descriptions, availability, inspirational styling content and alternative recommendations, as well as the ability to build a basket and transact.
Samuel Mueller, co-founder and CEO of Scandit, previously commented on the partnership:
“Our technology is perfectly positioned for widespread use in the retail industry, which is already built around the barcode as the primary source of product information. Integrating Scandit’s mobile data capture capabilities into the Mercaux mobile retail platform will enable retailers to successfully compete with online giants entering the physical retail market space.”
“Customers are coming to stores expecting the same product availability and accessibility they receive online. Store associates will be able to connect shoppers with the goods they desire by simply scanning a barcode.”
